Einstein's Whacky Warping Show

Old Newton once ruled with his gravity laws,

Predicting the planets with nary a pause.

But Einstein declared, with a confident grin,

“There’s more to this game—now let’s dive right in!”

He pondered as light took a curious bend,

Did space have a trick up its sleeve to defend?

He dreamt of free-falling, a marvelous sight—

A man in a spaceship who felt strangely light!

“Acceleration,” he cried, “and gravity too,

Are really the same—who’d have thought? Who knew?”

A wobble in space, a wrinkle in time,

And physics got tangled in theories sublime.

Imagine a mattress, all stretched nice and tight,

Now plop down the Sun—oh dear, what a sight!

The fabric will dip, and planets will roll,

Not tugged by some force, but stuck in a hole!

Yes, space-time’s a canvas, not rigid but bent,

By objects of mass (and a physics event).

No force from afar, no magical string,

Just curves in the cosmos—what a bizarre thing!

The clocks near a star tick slower, it’s true,

While those in deep space have less time to chew.

And beams of pure light, so noble and fast,

Will follow the curves as they’re gliding on past.

Now GPS works ’cause old Einstein was right—

The satellites dance in a time-warping flight!

And black holes exist (though Newton would scoff),

Where space-time is twisted and light can’t take off.

So here’s to old Albert, whose brilliant insight

Turned Newton’s straight roads into curves left and right!

And if you feel heavy, don’t fret—have no fear,

You’re not gaining weight—just warped by a sphere!
